I left a couple of things out, but this post was getting WAY out of hand when I was writing it. Anyways...
So I was stuck at the party yesterday from 2:00PM till 11:30PM. @_@ And since I'm pretty antisocial at parties like that, I had to find things to keep me busy. The first 2 or 3 hours, I was either talking to random people or to my brother/my parents, and I was playing PMD2. Then it was time to eat, so I had 6 chicken wings and a roll. Thankfully the chicken was good, otherwise I would've probably starved until dessert since most of the other food was stuff that I didn't like. Anyways, I kept playing PMD2 until dessert, which was probably 1 or 2 hours later, and I ate the pound cake that my mom brought since the cake that was there had some chocolate in it. Afterward, I asked her if it was okay to stay inside since I had been sitting outside most of the day and I was getting sick of all the icky bugs and the things that would fall from their tree (which landed in my hair one time O_o;), so she said it was fine.
So I kept playing PMD2 in there for quite some time until I decided to take a break. Then I put on my mp3 player and decided to make random doodles in PictoChat for awhile. And then when they offered me to play with their Wii, I asked where the games were and they didn't have any other than Wii Sports, so my dad went out to the car and brought mine inside (my mom told me to bring my Wii just in case if they didn't have theirs since the last time we were there, they said they would've liked to play it).
So I played through all of the 50cc cups in MKWii in order to unlock everything again on their Wii. Plus it gave me the oppurtunity to try out the Wiimote and Nunchuck combo for driving since my dad didn't bring any of my controllers inside. And I'd have to agree with many of the people who make reviews saying that it's one of the best controller options, because it really is. It's more comfortable since your hands are spaced apart holding 2 different controllers instead of them being close together holding the same controller, and the button placement is also great. On the Wiimote, all you have to worry about pushing are the A button for acceleration and the B button for drifting (if you use Manual, otherwise this button is for throwing items in Automatic). And on the Nunchuck, you use the analog stick to steer and throw your items, and you throw your items with the Z button. And when you want to do tricks, you just flick the Wiimote upward (like with the Wii Wheel) when you get to the jumps. So I'd reccommend this controller option if you don't have a Classic Controller or a GameCube controller, because it is better than the Wii Wheel. Otherwise, I'd still recommend the Classic Controller since certain things feel much more precise, such as the tricks and the steering. I still need to try out the GameCube controller though, because the button layout for it has changed since MKDD, so it might either feel really good or really uncomfortable.
Anyways, after MKWii, I finally went back outside because my dad and my brother came inside to tell me to check out some Beer Pong. Instead of the usual cups and ping pong balls that are used, they had buckets of water set up and they threw dodgeballs across the yard in order to get them into the buckets, which looked like fun (or just really annoying if you have a bad throw). But on the deck, a "regulation table" was set up for a normal game of beer pong. And that looks like fun too, which sucks for me since I don't plan on drinking when I get older, so I could never play the game unless if I ever convinced somebody on my team to do all of the drinking. XP My brother played for awhile and won a round with the daughter of my dad's college friend. When they won, they played again, but they lost to the two guys that they played in that round. It was amusing to watch one of the guys have to drink because he was always grossed out since he apparently hated light beer.
Anyways, after my brother stopped playing, I went back inside and played Wii Sports, which I haven't done since my birthday party in January, so I had to get used to it again. Since the Wii that they had was a newer one, and not their son's Wii, there were a few slight differences. One difference was that the menu screens now show the Wiimote with that ugly rubber sleeve on it and ask if you have it on your Wiimote when the pop-up appears before each game. And in Baseball before the game starts, there's this little "opening scene" where the two teams are lined up in 2 lines and the camera zooms out from all of their faces. And sometimes when somebody in the outfield catches the ball, they catch it like usual, but then they'll throw it off to the side and it just looks really weird to me. O_o
After that, I went back to PictoChat doodling until my parents FINALLY got a chance to stop talking to people and were ready to leave.
See ya! ;)
